Tasmania not affected by salad recall

yahoo20newsTASMANIAN supermarkets are not subject to a lettuce recall issued due to a suspected salmonella outbreak, the Department of Health and Human Services says.

A DHHS spokesperson said the Tripod Farmers pre-packed salad subject to the recall was not distributed to Tasmania.

TriPod lettuce is used in Coles and Woolworths branded pre-packed salad interstate.

Victoria’s Health Department has received reports of more than 50 cases of salmonella anatum strain linked to the lettuce.
